ELSMOR 2022 International Summer School
ELSMOR 2022 International Summer School on Early-deployable Small Modular Reactors is mean to approach the Small Modular Reactor technology in a holistic way. The focus is on Light Water SMRs, the most early-deployable technology.
One day of the Summer School was planned to happen at SIET company in Piacenza.
SIET testing engineers welcomed the participants. The students had the opportunity to follow the presentation of SIET and visit the facilities and testing laboratories.
The Summer school is referred to ELSMOR - Towards European Licensing of Small Modular Reactors. It is a EU-funded project. ELSMOR seeks to design methods and tools for stakeholders to assess and verify LW-SMRs’ safety when installed across Europe.
SIET company is directly involved in the ELSMOR project in particular with the experimental validation of a Decay Heat Removal (DHR) System.
