A visit by ETSON Junior Staff Programme to SIET laboratory

The 2019 ETSON JSP summer workshop was hosted by ENEA in Bologna.

ETSON is the European Technical Safety Organisation Network. The association of nuclear assessment bodies (TSOs) realizes the technical evaluation of safety files in support to national authorities. The members are professional science-based organizations from the nuclear countries in Europe. The ETSON Junior Staff Programme (EJSP) brings together young experts from ETSON members. The EJSP aims to improve long-term partnership among the TSOs members, establish a network of cooperation between young expert from different countries, and encourage intercultural interaction.

During the Italy based summer workshop, SIET laboratory welcomed the junior staff for one day at its premises in Piacenza. Junior staff had opportunity to visit the testing facilities and learn about current and previous testing experiences from SIET testing engineers.
