October 12th and 13th, 2026 — The Italy-France Summit on Civil Nuclear Energy pays a technical visit to SIET
During the 2026 Italy-France Civil Nuclear Summit, a delegation of Italian and French companies visited SIET and its laboratories to learn more about its research, experimentation, and technological support activities aimed at developing future energy and nuclear solutions.
On October 12, the 2026 Italy-France Civil Nuclear Summit took place, organized by ANIMA Confindustria, the Italian Nuclear Association (AIN), Business France, and ICE Agenzia, with the participation of over one hundred Italian companies and a distinguished delegation of French industry representatives.
The event provided an important opportunity to discuss the prospects for the development of civil nuclear energy in Europe, the needs of the supply chain, and opportunities for industrial collaboration between the two countries. Throughout the day, participants addressed topics related to strengthening the European nuclear supply chain, developing technical expertise, and highlighting the contribution that the Italian industrial sector can make to future energy programs. The event also facilitated meetings and exchanges among companies, institutions, and organizations active in the sector.
The following day, October 13, part of the delegation visited SIET to gain a deeper understanding of the company’s activities and experimental infrastructure. The visit included a tour of the laboratories and test facilities, during which participants learned about the main research, development, and testing activities carried out by SIET in support of advanced energy technologies and the nuclear sector.
The meeting provided a concrete opportunity for technical discussion with representatives from the participating companies, fostering the exchange of experiences and the sharing of expertise. The visit also served to highlight SIET’s role in the field of applied research and experimental testing, emphasizing the contribution that its infrastructure and know-how can make to the development of industrial and technological projects of European interest.
This initiative is part of a broader collaboration between industry, research, and innovation, aimed at supporting the growth of expertise and the development of technologies necessary to address the challenges of the energy transition and future applications of civil nuclear power.
