IETI EXPERIMENTAL PLANT

IETI (Impianto Esperienze Termo-Idrauliche - Thermal -Hydraulic Experimental Facility), is a multi-purpose test facility that allows tests on different plant components, with fluids (water and steam) in special thermodynamic conditions:

• pressure: 22 MPa
• temperature: 400 °C
• water flow rate: 15 kg/s
• steam flow rate: 5 kg/s
• power: 10 MW

Examples of test sections:

• scaled or full-size power channels
• process components (valves, heat exchangers,...)
• flow meters (calibration)
• sub-system of a steam generator for PWR nuclear power plants
• high pressure jet pumps
